Quality Roots is back with another 420 Extravaganza! For those unfamiliar with the holiday, let’s break it down. 4/20, or April 20th marks a national cannabis celebration with an origin story that remains somewhat uncertain. One of the most widely accepted origin stories traces back to a group of high school students known as the “Waldos” in the 1970s, who used “4/20” as a code to meet and search for a hidden cannabis crop. This led to the term gaining popularity and becoming synonymous with cannabis culture. Other theories include connections to police codes, Bob Dylan’s song lyrics, chemical compounds in cannabis, and even Grateful Dead concerts. While the exact origin may remain a mystery, the cultural significance of 4/20 as a day of celebration, advocacy, and camaraderie within the cannabis community is undeniable.
How is Quality Roots Celebrating?
Quality Roots is embracing the spirit of 4/20 with an incredible celebration and sale! Starting Thursday, April 18th to Sunday, April 21st, our entire store will be 20%-40% off at all locations. But that’s just the beginning of the festivities.
On Friday, April 19th you’ll want to get there early for Elevated Free Gram Friday, where we’re doubling the fun by giving away 2 free grams to anyone spending $25 or more (while supplies last). Plus, don’t miss our Customer Appreciation Garage Sale at our Hamtramck Location, where you can snag some exclusive Quality Roots apparel.
The main event kicks off on Saturday, 4/20, with DJ sets at all locations (excluding Corunna) from 9 a.m. to noon, setting the perfect vibe for the day. We’re also giving away 1 lb. of Michigrown Flower per store, ensuring that everyone has a chance to get a taste of premium cannabis – the first 128 customers who spend $50 will receive a free eighth of Michigrown flower. Additionally, any customer who spends $500 or more will receive a free zone. The first 150 customers spending $150 or more will get a gift bag valued at $100+ with gifts from your favorite brands including Hytek, Common Citizen, Growing Pains, Sauce, Jeeter, Drip, Made by a Farmer, and Lit Labs.
Happy Hour runs from 4:20 p.m. to 6:20 p.m., where spending $25 during this time gets you a free 1.2g Infused Paper Plane (limit of 150 per store).
